Agro Forestry
On the Kolunji farm it`s possible to observe trees that is very tall in nature and shrub trees. The whole beauty of Kolunji lies in its Agro-forestry nature and in its trees. There are trees of various purposes like: timber value trees, firewood purpose trees, fodder trees, fruit trees, vegetable trees, medicinal purpose trees, trees for shade etc. Fruit trees found on the farm include: mango trees, chickoo trees, custard apple trees, drum stick trees, teak, vagai, acha, tamarind etc. Previously, there were 3000 trees of 150 varieties that were fully grown. But in the aftermath of Gaja cyclone in 2018 most of the trees were uprooted. We have planted more new tree varieties which is now growing.
